Berliner Philharmoniker | Asia | November 2017
Nov 2017 - Nov 2017

In November 2017 the legendary Berliner Philharmoniker will embark on an historic tour of Asia; while the tour marks the orchestra’s final concerts in Asia with Sir Simon Rattle as Chief Conductor, it also celebrates a number of firsts: the first appearance of the Berliner Philharmoniker in the Chinese cities of Guangzhou and Wuhan, and the Asian premiere of a new work by Unsuk Chin commissioned by the Berliner Philharmoniker.

The tour – which also includes concerts in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Seoul, Kawasaki, and Tokyo – will feature soloists Seong-Jin Cho and Yuja Wang, who replace Lang Lang (more information here).
