We are delighted to welcome Sir András Schiff to our roster.
In a career spanning nearly 40 years, Sir András Schiff has distinguished himself with special cycles focussing on the major keyboard works of J.S. Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Chopin, Schumann and Bartok – over the past 10 years alone, he has performed complete cycles of the 32 Beethoven Piano Sonatas in 20 cities. His work as a conductor and soloist, principally with his own chamber orchestra, the Capella Andrea Barca, and with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, has earned him unanimous acclaim. As a guest soloist, he has worked with most of the major international orchestras and conductors.
Sir András has also established an extraordinary reputation as a chamber musician, collaborating with a wide range of colleagues and curating a number of highly acclaimed chamber music festivals.
Highlights among his forthcoming plans include recital cycles featuring the late sonatas of Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert at the Salzburg Festival as well as in Berlin, London, Zurich, Florence, Lisbon, Barcelona, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and New York. In addition, he will undertake extensive recital touring with stand-alone programmes in Europe, Asia, North and South America, as well as touring as a conductor and soloist with Capella Andrea Barca and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe.
Askonas Holt will work for Sir András Schiff on a general management basis, in association with Hochuli Konzert AG and Kirshbaum, Demler & Associates, and we look forward to building on these extraordinary achievements.
