Sarah Connolly returns to Wigmore Hall on 9 September to give the opening recital of the 2016/17 season, accompanied by regular partner Malcolm Martineau. Their programme includes a selection of Schumann’s Hans Christian Andersen Lieder, Mahler’s ‘Rückert lieder’, Berlioz’ ‘Les nuits d’été’, Debussy’s ‘Trois Chansons de Bilitis’ and Poulenc’s ‘Banalités’.
