Lars Vogt makes conducting debuts in Singapore & New Zealand

Conductor and pianist Lars Vogt is currently in New Zealand ahead of his first ever appearances in the country, conducting the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra in a programme of Mozart, Beethoven and Webern. Lars leads two performances; on 26 October in Wellington and on 28 October in Auckland.

The performances directly follow his debut with the Singapore Symphony last week, where his performances of Schumann’s Symphony No. 2 were widely well-received:

On his return to Europe, Lars will perform chamber music and recitals in Salzburg, Bremen, Dortmund and Barcelona, and return to his orchestra Royal Northern Sinfonia to record Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 1 as conductor and soloist for Ondine. This follows the success of their three-CD cycle of Beethoven piano concerti, released last season to great critical acclaim.
