Kensho Watanabe makes further debuts in Europe

Following his successful European debut last month with Brussels Philharmonic, this month sees Kensho Watanabe return to Europe to make two UK debuts.

First, he is in Scotland conducting his debut performances with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. In concerts at Edinburgh’s Usher Hall tonight, 8 March, and Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall on 9 March, Kensho conducts Orff’s Carmina Burana and Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 3.

Later this month he returns to the UK for his debut with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales in Bangor and Aberystwyth on 28 and 29 March, conducting Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 5 and Rodrigo Concierto de Aranjuez with BBC New Generation Artist Thibaut Garcia.

Kensho then travels back to the US to continue his work with The Philadelphia Orchestra, and for his subscription debut with the Detroit Symphony on 9, 10 and 12 May.
