Karina Canellakis conducts the Nobel Prize Concert in Stockholm

Karina Canellakis will conduct this year’s Nobel Prize Concert in Stockholm. The annual concert honours the year’s Nobel Laureates and is attended by members of the Swedish Royal family, Nobel Laureates and guests.

Karina (the first woman ever to conduct the concert) will lead the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra in a programme of Ann-Sofi Söderqvist’s Movements, Dvořák Violin Concerto with soloist Lisa Batiashvili, and Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 4.

Karina debuted with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic in 2016 and has since returned twice; in December 2017 with Janine Jansen, and in October 2018 with Nicola Benedetti. You can watch Karina’s captivating performance of Dvořák Symphony No. 7 from October 2018 here.
