Receiving the award for best solo instrument ex-aequo with the celebrated pianist Elisabeth Leonskaja, jury member Remy Franck of Pizzicato Magazine said that Joseph “[…] has fulfilled the hope that we expressed when we chose him as ‘Young Artist of the Year’ in 2012 […]”.
The Award Ceremony and Gala Concert will take place on 12th April 2014 at the Philharmonic Hall in Warsaw as part of this year’s Beethoven Easter Festival.
This fantastic news comes the morning after Joseph’s debut in Hamburg, where he had a great success playing Liszt’s Piano Concerto no. 2 with the Hamburg Philharmonic, which also precedes a whole Spring of debut performances including recitals at De Doelen
in Rotterdam and the Louvre Auditorium
in Paris, as well as debut appearances with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra
and at the Royal Albert Hall with the Royal Northern Sinfonia.
