This week, Johannes Moser will perform his first concert as Artist-in-Residence with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra for the 2018/19 season. Projects across the season include concerto performances, chamber music and outreach work in the wider community. This week, Joahnnes will perform Tchaikovsky’s Rococo Variations conducted by Thomas Søndergård.
Johannes is renowned for his efforts to expand the reach of the classical genre to all audiences, and his passionate involvement in commissioning new works for his instrument.
In the 2018/19 season, Johannes will also be Artist-in-Residence with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin and the Oregon Symphony, undertaking a diverse range of projects including concerto and solo performances, education and outreach activities, and a chamber orchestra tour directed from the cello.
Other highlights of the season include Johannes’ debut with the Oslo Philharmonic orchestra, the World and European Premieres of Andrew Norman’s cello concerto, and performances in Australia and New Zealand.
