American conductor James Gaffigan makes an exciting house debut on the 17 February for Chicago Lyric Opera, conducting a revival of John Cox’s production of Così Fan Tutte. James is currently the Chief Conductor of the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra and Principal Guest Conductor of the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and continues to attract international acclaim in both Europe and America.
James, who has previously conducted Cosi for Glyndebourne Festival Opera, will be presenting the work in the US for the first time. He leads an impressive cast of singers including Ana María Martínez as Fiordiligi, Marianne Crebassa as Dorabella, Andrew Stenson as Ferrando and Joshua Hopkins as Guglielmo.
