This month, Inon Barnatan returns to Asia, where he’ll perform solo recitals at the Toppan Hall, Musashino Civic Cultural Hall, and Kumho Art Hall, as well as performing Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2 at the Hyogo Performing Arts Center (under Rossen Milanov) and Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 2 at the Gunma Music Center (under Naoto Otomo).
Last season, Inon made his debut with the Tokyo Metropolitan Orchestra, performing Rachmaninov’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini Op. 43 under Alan Gilbert, and with the Hong Kong Philharmonic, performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23 under David Stern.
Future highlights for Inon include his return to the BBC Proms this August for a performance of Gershwin’s Piano Concerto with the Minnesota Orchestra, under Osmo Vänskä; a performance of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4 with the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, under Alan Gilbert; and a debut solo recital at the International Piano Series in London.
