Emmanuelle Haïm makes her Philadelphia Orchestra and New York Philharmonic debuts



Emmanuelle Haïm makes her Philadelphia Orchestra and New York Philharmonic debuts this month. In Philadelphia, Emmanuelle will conduct Purcell and Handel, including selections from The Fairy Queen, Music for the Royal Fireworks and Il delirio amoroso with soprano Lenneke Ruiten. In New York, the programme will include a suite from Rameau’s Dardanus and two suites from Handel’s Water Music.

  • Philadelphia: Friday 16 November, 2.00pm
  • Philadelphia: Saturday 17 November, 8.00pm
  • New York: Wednesday 21 November, 7.30pm
  • New York: Friday 23 November, 8.00pm
  • New York: Saturday 24 November, 2.00pm and 8.00pm

On Friday 23 November Emmanuelle will release a CD of Italian cantatas with her Le Concert d’Astree and soloists Sabine Devieilhe and Lea Desandre. You catch watch an extract of the CD below.

Later in the season, she will conduct Rameau’s Hippolyte et Aricie at Opernhaus Zurich in May 2019.
