Cédric Tiberghien makes San Francisco Symphony debut

Cédric Tiberghien makes his debut with the San Francisco Symphony playing Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 1 this Thursday 7 March, with further concerts on the 8 and 9 March. Cédric will be collaborating with conductor François-Xavier Roth, who he has previously worked with at the London Symphony Orchestra, as well as with François-Xavier’s own ensemble, Les Siècles, most recently at the 2017 BBC Proms.

Later this month, Cédric plays the same concerto with the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Kazuhiro Koizumi, and again with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and Kazuki Yamada in June. Other highlights of the 2018/19 season include Cédric’s debuts with the Berliner Philharmoniker (watch an extract here), Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester, a new music theatre project on Schumann’s Dichterliebe called Zauberland with soprano Julia Bullock that will be premiered at Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord, Paris in April 2019, and solo recitals in London, Chicago and Tokyo.

Cédric has also just released an album of Liszt’s solo piano music with Hyperion; more information available here.
