Vilde Frang embarks on north American tour and Carnegie recital debut

This week, Vilde Frang will give recitals in four north American venues alongside pianist Michail Lifits, including her recital debut at the Carnegie Hall. Fresh from a highly successful performance with Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin conducted by Ludovic Morlot last week, Vilde will perform two programmes featuring music by Mendelssohn, Schubert, Lutosławski, Strauss and Fauré.
Her tour begins in Canada at the Koerner Hall in Toronto on 2 March before moving on to the Carnegie Hall, New York (4 March), William Jewell College, Kansas (5 March), and ending the tour at the Cullen Performance Hall in Houston on 6 March.
On her return to Europe Vilde will perform the Korngold Violin Concerto with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Cristian Macelaru, which is included on her new critically acclaimed album ‘Britten/Korngold’. Other upcoming engagements for Vilde this season include performances with the NDR Symphonieorchester Hamburg conducted by Sakari Oramo, and Vilde’s Berlin Philharmonic debut conducted by Sir Simon Rattle.
