Thomas Søndergård returns to BBCNOW alongside Rebecca Evans, Jennifer Johnson & Timothy Robinson



Principal Conductor Thomas Søndergård returns to the BBC National Orchestra of Wales for their first concert of the year, performing Mozart’s ‘Requiem’ featuring Rebecca Evans, Jennifer Johnson and Timothy Robinson on Friday 22 January. The concert will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 3.
Thomas Søndergård returns to the UK following performances at Den Norske Opera of a new production of Mozart’s ‘The Magic Flute’ by Alexander Mørk-Eidem. Later appearances with BBC National Orchestra of Wales this season include local touring, and performances of Szymanovsky’s Violin Concerto No. 2 with violinist Nicola Benedetti.
In the remainder of this season he makes debuts with Leipzig Gewandhaus, Toronto Symphony and Netherlands Philharmonic. Thomas also returns to DSO Berlin, Houston, Atlanta and Danish National Symphony Orchestras. Future plans include returns to many of his regular guest orchestras and debuts with Deutsche Oper Berlin, London Philharmonic Orchestra and international touring with BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
