Rafael Payare makes his debut with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France



Tonight, Rafael Payare makes his debut with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France in a programme to include works by Kodály, Penderecki and Lutosławski. He will also be joined by Ukrainian violinist Valeriy Sokolov for Bartók’s second Violin Concerto.
Other highlights of the 2016/17 season for Rafael include his debuts with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra last month and with Academia Santa Cecilia Orchestra next month, as well as return visits to the Munich Philharmonic (23, 24 & 25 November) and the Philharmonia Orchestra at the Southbank Centre (9 March 2017).
Valeriy’s 2016/17 season includes him returning to the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra (27 & 28 October, conducted by Nicholas Carter), performances with the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken (1 & 2 December), Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra with Kirill Karabits (25 & 26 January 2017), and the NDR Symphony at the Elbphilharmonie in March 2017.
