Jonathan Nott on tour with the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie
This week, Jonathan Nott will once again be taking up his position as Principal Guest Conductor with the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie, conducting seven concerts across Germany and France as part of the orchestra’s European tour.
The tour begins on 8 September at the Congress Park Hanau, before moving on to the Philharmonie Berlin (as part of Musikfest on 11 September), Kurhaus Wiesbaden (12 September), Schlosstheater Fulde (13 September), Grand Theatre de Provence (15 September), Frauenkirche zu Dresden (17 September), and the Philharmonie Cologne (18 September). Jonathan will be joined by violinst Pekka Kuusisto, playing programmes with works by Haydn, Varèse, Ligeti and Beethoven.
Following his tour with the JDP, Jonathan will head to Japan in October to conduct the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, of which he is Music Director, before they embark on a European tour together.
