We are delighted to announce the general management of the wonderful Mexican tenor, Diego Silva.
26 year old Diego is currently covering the title role in Faust at the Opera de Paris, before singing the role at the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia, where he studied.
Diego Silva studied at The Curtis Institute of Music and at AVA in Philadelphia, where his many roles have included Des Grieux in Massenet’s Manon, Lensky in Eugene Onegin, Count Almaviva in Il Barbiere di Siviglia and Nemorino in L’elisir d’amore. His many awards and achievements include first prize in the 2013 Giagiari Competition, encouragement award from the Gerda Lissner Foundation International Vocal Competition in 2012, first prize, special and public prize of the Carlo Morelli Singing Competition, the Placido Domingo Scholarship from Sociedad International de Valores del Arte Mexicano. Diego was also finalist in Domingo’s Operalia competition in 2013.
Diego’s repertoire includes Tamino in Die Zauberflöte, Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni, Ferrando in Cosí fan tutte, Percy in Anna Bolena, Nadir in Les Pêcheurs de Perles, Rodolfo in La bohéme, Belfiore in Il Viaggio a Reims, and the title roles in Romeo et Juliette and Faust.
