New signing – Alexandre Duhamel, baritone



We are delighted to announce the general management of French baritone Alexandre Duhamel.

A member of the Opéra national de Paris Young Artist Programme, he was awarded ‘Le Prix Lyrique du Cercle Carpeaux’ and ‘Le Prix de Association pour le rayonnement de l’Opéra national de Paris’.

Already making a name for himself on the operatic stage, Alexandre’s roles include Le Grand-Prêtre Samson et Dalila, Paolo Simon Boccanegra,  Sancho Don Quixotte, Guglielmo Così fan tutte, Valentin Faust, Mercutio Roméo et Juliette, Ramiro L’Heure Espagnole, Leporello Don Giovanni, Belcore L’Elisir d’amore and Harasta The Cunning Little Vixen. He has appeared at the Opéra de Paris, Teatro alla Scala, München Prinzregententheater, Opéra de Marseille, Opéra de Bordeaux, Opéra de Montpellier, Opéra de Nice, the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie, the Grand Théâtre du Luxembourg and the Glyndebourne Festival with conductors including Philippe Jordan, Michel Plasson, Alain Altinoglu, Daniel Oren, Marc Minkowski, Carlo Rizzi and Domingo Hindoyan.

Engagements this season and beyond include Der Herrufer Lohengrin in Montpellier, Falke Die Fledermaus in the French version for the Opéra de Marseille, Albert Werther at the Opéra de Reims, Opéra de Massy and Opéra-Théâtre de Metz Métropole, Grand Prêtre Alceste at Opéra de Lyon, L’enfant et les sortilèges with the Seattle Symphony Orchestra and a return to the Opéra national de Paris for Die lustige Witwe.
