New Releases: From Monteverdi to Strauss, and Haydn to Wagner



Today sees the release of six albums featuring AH artists, including a recording of Haydn symphonies by Giovanni Antonini and the Kammerorchester Basel; an album of short pieces for violin and piano by Vilde Frang and José Gallardo; Brahms’ An English Requiem featuring James Baillieu; Magdalena Kožená as Pénélope in Monteverdi’s Il Ritorno d’Ulisse in patria, conducted by Emmanuelle Haïm; Richard Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier featuring Elīna Garanča as Octavian; and Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra’s The Wagner Project conducted by Daniel Harding.
