Nathalie Stutzmann makes her debut as Principal Guest Conductor of RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra



This week, Nathalie Stutzmann conducts her inaugural concert as Principal Guest Conductor with RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, at the National Concert Hall Dublin with a programme of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 1 in C major, Prokofiev’s Classical Symphony and Brahms’ Violin Concerto in D major with renowned violinist Veronika Eberle.

This season with RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, she will also explore a vast repertoire including Beethoven’s Symphonies No. 4, 5 and 9, Brahms’ Symphony No. 1 and Strauss’ Death and Transfiguration, as well as works by Rachmaninov and Elgar.

Recent guest conducting highlights for Nathalie include with London Philharmonic Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra Washington, Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, St Louis Symphony, Saito Kinen Ozawa Orchestra, Bergen Philharmonic and Kristiansand Symphony, which all led to immediate re-engagements this season and the next. Highly anticipated debut plans include Houston Symphony, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and Royal Scottish National Orchestra. Following her 2017 acclaimed success with Wagner’s Tannhaüser at Monte-Carlo Opera, she will open the 2018 Les Chorégies d’Orange festival with Mefistofele.
