Miloš Popovic & Julien Brocal embark on recital tour with Maria João Pires

This week, Miloš Popovic and Maria João Pires will embark on a recital tour in Europe. This tour will take them to Sandvika (Norway), Birmingham and Cambridge (UK), and Bonn and Dortmund (Germany). Maria also performs with Julien Brocal in a shared recital at the Philharmonie de Paris.

Each recital will see both artists perform solo works as well as pieces for four hands. Alternating between two programmes, audiences will hear a selection of works including Mozart’s Sonata No. 12 in F major and Sonata No. 13 in B-flat major, Schubert’s Three Klavierstücke, and Beethoven’s Sonata No. 23 in F minor and Sonata No. 32 in C minor. Each night, Miloš and Maria will join forces to conclude the programme with a performance of Schubert’s Fantasie for 4 hands in F minor. All recitals will embrace the true spirit of the Partitura Project.

In Paris, Maria and Julien will perform works by Debussy, Ravel and Schubert at the Philharmonie.

Miloš also looks forward to working with another close recital partner, violinist Nikita Boriso-Glebsky, when they perform works by Ravel, Prokofiev, and Franck at Les Concerts des Poches.
