Miah Persson makes house and role debut at Dallas Opera in Michel Van Der Aa’s Sunken Garden

On Friday 9 March, Swedish soprano Miah Persson opens in Michel Van Der Aa’s production of Sunken Garden at Dallas Opera. It is a role and house debut for Miah, as well as the American premiere of the opera.

In this fourth opera by the acclaimed Dutch composer, Miah plays Iris Marinus in a cast of three alongside Roderick Williams as Toby Kramer and Katherine Manley as Zenna Briggs. It marks the second collaboration between Miah and Michel Van Der Aa, with Miah having previously appeared in his production Blank Out, to great critical acclaim.

This season continues to break new ground for Miah, who makes another role debut at Garsington Opera as the Countess in Strauss’ Capriccio, under the baton of Douglas Boyd.
