Many congratulations to Magdalena Kozena who has just completed a twenty three-city European tour of her latest Deutsche Grammophon recording programme, Lettere Amorose.
Magdalena Kozena teamed up with the eight-piece early ensemble, Private Musicke, to produce a programme of 17th century Italian song described as combining “thorough musicology with a startlingly fresh approach to interpretation. The result is almost anachronistically modern in its impact” (International Record Review). Miss Kozena first toured this programme in the summer of 2009, taking in the Czech festival towns of Ostrava, Namest Nad Oslavou, Kynzvart and Litomysl, and the Aix-en-Provence and Lucerne Festivals. The recording was made in October 2009 and between August 2010 and March 2011, Lettere Amorose has enchanted audiences in Edinburgh, Helsinki, Berlin, Hamburg, Baden-Baden, Dortmund, Brussels, Amsterdam, London, Paris, Cologne, Warsaw, Brno, Vienna, Prague and Zagreb.
