Jonathan Nott’s inaugural concerts as Music Director of Tokyo Symphony



This week Jonathan Nott gives his inaugural concerts as Music Director of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. Across two weeks of concerts, Jonathan will conduct varied programmes featuring Webern, Schubert, Brahms and Takemitsu. Jonathan will also conduct Mahler’s epic ninth Symphony, a composer with whom he has a great affinity. 
Future highlights for Jonathan include his debut with the London Symphony Orchestra, plus return visits to the Concertgebouworkest, Santa Cecilia Orchestra and Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester. He will also lead his Bamberger Symphoniker on various prestigious tours, including to the Salle Pleyel in Paris, Konzerthaus Vienna and the Frankfurt Alte Oper.
