Jonathan Nott named Music and Artistic Director of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande

Jonathan Nott has today been named Music and Artistic Director of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, a post that he will take up in January 2017. He was elected by an overwhelming majority from both the orchestral musicians and members of the board.
Jonathan is currently Principal Conductor of the Bamberger Symphoniker (a post he has held since 2000) and has, in this time, elevated the orchestra to a world-class status, notably famed for his recordings of Mahler Symphonies with the orchestra. In addition to this, Jonathan is Music Director of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and Principal Conductor and Artistic Advisor of the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie.
Congratulations to Jonathan on the new appointment!
