Jonathan Nott conducts Wagner’s Ring Cycle at Lucerne Festival

In this historic Wagner year to mark the composer’s 200th birthday, Jonathan Nott embarks on a ground-breaking Ring cycle with his Bamberger Symphoniker.  The four operas have never been performed as a series at the Lucerne Festival.
Jonathan will be joined by an internationally acclaimed cast including Albert Dohmen, Petra Lang, Sophie Bevan, Mikhail Petrenko and Klaus Florian Vogt.  These performances have particular resonance as Lucerne is considered a Wagner city; the composer resided there between 1866 and 1872 during an intensive period of artistic output.
