Jonathan Nott and his Bamberg Symphony Orchestra return to Lucerne Festival



Following their acclaimed performance of Wagner’s Ring cycle in 2015, Jonathan Nott and his Bamberg Symphony Orchestra return to the Lucerne Festival on the 26 August for a concert performance of Verdi’s Falstaff
Entering into his final season as Principal Conductor, 2015-16 will see Nott and his Bamberg Orchestra undertake an extensive touring schedule, including concerts in Munich, Berlin, Lucerne, Madrid, Barcelona, Monte Carlo and South America. The season will climax with Jonathan conducting a performance of Bruckner Symphony No. 8 in the breathtaking Bamberg Cathedral. As well as his commitments with the Tokyo Symphony and Junge Deutsche Philharmonie that season, Jonathan will also return to the Chicago Symphony with a programme to include Strauss Ein Heldenleben
In January 2017, he will commence his position as Music and Artistic Director of the Orchestre de le Suisse Romande.
