In the studio – July

Carolin Widmann play/directs the Chamber Orchestra of Europe in recordings of the Mendelssohn and Schumann violin concerti for ECM Records. Carolin’s earlier ECM recordings of Schubert and Schumann sonatas and the mighty Feldman concerto have won many prestigious awards and we greatly look forward to their next release together.
Emmanuel Pahud joins forces with the Kammerorchester Basel led by Giovanni Antonini to record ‘Revolution’, a programme of music by composers from the time of the French Revolution. Rehearsals for the recording, which will be released on Warner Classics, began appropriately on 14th July (Bastille Day!) at the Landgasthof in Riehen.
