Houston Symphony debut for Gergely Madaras



This week Gergely Madaras will make his debut with the Houston Symphony at their fantastic outdoor venue the Miller Theatre, with the following lively programme, also featuring music from fellow Hungarian Zoltán Kodály:

KODALY Peacock Variations 
MENDELSSOHN Violin Concerto (Eduardo Rios)
DVORAK Symphony No 8
Gergely has previously appeared in the USA as a conducting fellow of the Tanglewood Music Centre and American Academy of Conducting in Aspen. 

Fresh from his final concert of the season with his Orchestre Dijon Bourgogne last week, Gergely now looks forward to a jam-packed 2015/16 season, including various opera projects such a Die Zauberflöte with Geneva Opera and Le Nozze di Figaro and Otello with Hungarian State Opera, as well as full seasons with his orchestras in Dijon and Szombathely and numerous guest appearances.
