American soprano Heidi Stober’s star continues to rise as she makes a number of exciting debuts in March and April. On Sunday 11 March she makes her house debut at Dresden Semperoper as Adina in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore, a role she has previously played at the Wiener Staatsoper and in a new production at Deutsche Oper Berlin.
It’s to the Deutsche Oper that Heidi returns in April to make her role debut as Donna Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni. Since her critically acclaimed debut at Deutsche Oper Berlin in the autumn of 2008, Heidi has cultivated a long-standing relationship with the company, and this exciting role debut is one of several appearances she will make there over the next couple of seasons, including Oscar in Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera, in May 2018. Heidi will return to her ‘home house’ at the Deutsche Oper Berlin in the 18/19 season.
Don Giovanni will be conducted by Donald Runnicles and also stars AH artist Siobhan Stagg as Zerlina, with performances taking place on 15, 21 and 29 April. To read more about the production and to book tickets, visit the Deutsche Oper Berlin website.
