Guy Braunstein has been announced as Artist-in-Residence with the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra for the 2017/18 season, a position which will begin in August 2017. The residency will showcase Guy’s multi-faceted musicianship with projects featuring Guy as both conductor and soloist. He will perform a wide range of repertoire including Rachmaninov, Vaughan Williams, Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky & Schumann and will work alongside artists including Inon Barnatan and Duncan Ward.
As well as a thriving solo career with many of the world’s top orchestras, Guy is also becoming a regular on the conductors podium. Recent and upcoming conducting highlights include Hamburger Symphoniker (where Guy holds the position of Associate Artist), Orquesta Sinfonica de Galicia, Lahti Symphony, Queensland Symphony & Noord Nederlands Orkest.
The first of four concerts in Guy’s residency will be on 24 August 2017, where he will perform as conductor and soloist in a programme of Vivaldi, Schumann, Vaughan Williams and Tchaikovsky. Further performances are on 2 November 2017, 11 January 2018 (with Inon Barnatan) and 9 May 2018 (with Duncan Ward).
