Emmanuel Pahud performs Michael Haydn Flute Concerto in D major and Mozart Flute Concerto No 1 in G maj with the Camerata Salzburg in Dresden. Emmanuel then plays the Nielsen Flute Concerto with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and Edo de Waart conducting in several concerts in Hong Kong.

Dorothea Roschmann performs Bach cantatas with the Berliner Barock Solisten at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden.

Gustavo Dudamel conducts the Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala in a programme to include Bernstein and Mahler at Teatro alla Scala. He then travels to Madrid to conduct the Orquesta Nacional de Espana in a programme to include Beethoven and Prokofiev at the Auditorio Nacional de Musica in Madrid.

Alexander Shelley conducts the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern in works by Strauss, Sibelius and Brahms.

Natalie Clein performsTavener 'Protecting Veil' with the Northern Sinfonia and Simon Halsey at the Sage, Gateshead. She also plays Haydn Cello Concerto in C in Norwich, Rhyll and Minehead with the European Union Chamber Orchestra.

John Lill has concerts with the Manchester Camerata in Stafford, Dewsbury and at Manchester's Bridgewater Hall playing Beethoven Piano Concerto No 2 with Douglas Boyd conducting.

Xuefei Yang gives masterclasses and a recital at the Santo Tirso Guitar Festival. Her programme includes works by Albeniz, Tarrega, Granados, Stephen Goss, along with various Chinese composers.

Julian Rachlin plays Brahms Violin Concerto with the Czech Philharmonie and Zdenek Macal in Lucerne and Lugano. He will also play the Brahms Double Concerto with Mischa Maisky and the Academy Orchestra of Buchmann / Mehta School of Music and Zeev Dorman.

Cedric Tiberghien performs Beethoven Piano Concerto no.3 with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Marin Alsop.

Seikyo Kim conducts the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra, Japan.

Myung-Whun Chung conducts the Staatskapelle Dresden in a programme to include Mozart and Beethoven.

Thomas Zehetmair gives a duo recital with Ruth Killius (viola) in Ittingen. Their programme includes Holliger's 3 Skizzen für Violine und Viola.

Emanuel Ax performs recitals in Jersey and Newbury as well as Chopin Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Tugan Sokhiev in the Royal Festival Hall.

Peter Donohoe performs with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in Coventry, BBC National Orchestra of Wales in Swansea and plays a solo recital at the Cadogan Hall in London.

John Williams and John Etheridge give a duo recital at St Peter Mancroft, Norwich as part of the Norwich and Norfolk Festival. Their "Together and Solo" programme includes works by themselves, various African composers and a newly-commissioned piece by Benjamin Verdery.

Daniel Harding conducts a double bill of Dallapiccola's 'Il Prigioniero' and Bartok's 'Duke Bluebeard's Castle' at La Scala, Milan.

Robin Ticciati conducts the Orchestra Sinfonica dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in a programme to include Dukas, Rota, Debussy and Shostakovitch at the Santa Cecilia Auditorium.

Louis Langrée is conducting a two week Brahms Festival with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Liège, including the third and fourth Symphonies and the German Requiem.

The Belcea Quartet give a BBC Radio 3 lunchtime concert at the Wigmore Hall, London.
