il Giardino Armonico

Founded in 1985 and based in Milan, il Giardino Armonico is one of Italy's finest period intrument ensembles. Flexible in size, the ensemble boasts Giovanni Antonini as music director, and concentrates on composer of the 17th and 18th Century. il Giardino Armonico has released many recordings on the Teldec label, including their recording of Vivaldi's Four Seasons, which won many awards, including the Diapason d'Or. il Giardino Armonico performs regularly with such artists as Cecilia Bartoli, the Labeque sisters, Christoph Prégardien and has recently toured Europe with violinist Viktoria Mullova.
