William Dazeley
William Dazeley has established himself as one of the leading baritones of his generation and has already appeared with many of the world’s important opera houses some of which include the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Salzburg Festival, Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Theatre du Chatelet, Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin,and Choregies d'Orange to name a few. He has also performed with many of the premier orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Flanders Philharmonic, Netherlands Radio Symphony, BBC Proms, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, BBC Symphony. Prominent conductors with whom he has worked include Sir Colin Davis, Sir Charles Mackerras, Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Kent Nagano, Christopher Hogwood, Daniel Barenboim, Georges Pretre, Sir Andrew Davis and Leonard Slatkin.
In the 2008/09 season engagements for William Dazeley include a Gershwin double bill and Posa in a new production of Don Carlos for Opera North and concerts of Carmina Burana with the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Future work includes the title role in Eugene Onegin with the New Zealand Opera, Olivier in Capriccio and Danilo in The Merry Widow for Opera North, Marcello in la Boheme at the Hamburgische Staatsoper, The Father in Hansel und Gretel for Glyndebourne Festival Opera and concerts of ‘Carmina Burana’ with Opera North and ‘L’Enfance du Christ’ with the Bayerischer Rundfunk Munich.
