Philharmonic Sinfonietta Berlin

The Philharmonic Sinfonietta Berlin is one of the many world class ensembles born out of the larger orchestral body of the Berliner Philharmoniker. Abiding by the regulations of the Berliner Philharmoniker Foundation, the Philharmonic Sinfonietta Berlin has a permitted maximum of thirteen Berliner Philharmoniker musicians and invite regular chamber music partners to perform with them when required. Their collaboration with the conductor Ion Marin continues to flourish, and the ensemble has performed with such stars as Martha Argerich, Angela Gheorghiu and Han-Na Chang.
