Paul Charles Clarke

Paul Charles Clarke is in demand by the world's major opera houses and orchestras.

This season, Mr Clarke made his debut at the Opera du Rhin in Strasbourg in the title role of Benvenuto Cellini and returned to the Welsh National Opera for the title role in the French five act version of 'Don Carlos' opposite his wife soprano Nuccia Focile. Other engagements have included a concert of opera arias and duets with Nuccia Focile with the Halle Orchestra conducted by Mark Elder, and Don Jose in Carmen for the Hamburg State Opera and Florida Grand Opera. This season he has sung Pinkerton in 'Madama Butterfly' for Welsh National Opera and Don Jose for Glyndebourne on Tour.

Future engagements for Paul Charles Clarke include Des Grieux in Manon for Scottish Opera, Steva in Jenufa at the Bayerische Staatsoper, Beethoven 9 with Bournmouth Symphony Orchestra, and Don Jose in Carmen with the Royal Danish Opera.
