Nicholas Phan

Formerly a member of the Houston Grand Opera Studio, Nicholas Phan's appearances with the Houston Grand Opera include the roles of Pong in 'Turandot', Gastone in 'La Traviata' and Arturo in 'Lucia di Lammermoor', all conducted by Patrick Summers, Odoardo in 'Ariodante' conducted by Christopher Hogwood, and the First Armed Man in 'Die Zauberflöte' conducted by Claus Peter Flor. Recent engagements include Lucano (L’incoronazione di Poppea) in Los Angeles, Telemaco (Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria) for Chicago Opera Theatre and Lurcanio (Ariodante) for the Frankfurt Opera. This season he sings Pedrillo (Die Entfuhrung aus dem Serail) for Houston Grand Opera and Lindoro (L’Italiano in Algeri) with Opera de Lille and his future engagements include La cenerentola in Frankurt.
