Monteverdi Choir
Founded in 1964 by Sir John Eliot Gardiner for a performance of the Monteverdi Vespers (1610) in the King's College Chapel, Cambridge, the Monteverdi Choir is considered one of the finest professional choirs in the world. As well as touring with both John Eliot's two orchestras, the English Baroque Soloists and the Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique, the choir has also toured as an a capella ensemble, most notably in 2004, giving fourteen concerts along the famous pilgramage route, El Camino del Santiago. The choir is known for its vital and passionate performances of wide ranging repertoire.
