Lars Vogt

"Musicality and intelligence complemented each other wonderfully." Münchner Merkur

An exclusive EMI recording artist, Sir Simon Rattle once described Lars Vogt as “one of the most extraordinary musicians of any age group that I have had the fortune to be associated with.”

Particularly known for his interpretations of Mozart, Beethoven and Brahms, and for his commitment to chamber music, Vogt was appointed first ever “Pianist in Residence” at the Berlin Philharmonic last season, performing four chamber concerts and concertos in Berlin and Salzburg.

Vogt’s calendar features concertos with the Vienna, Munich and New York Philharmonics, Chicago, Boston and London Symphony Orchestras and the Philadelphia and Philharmonia Orchestras under such esteemed conductors as Haitink, Rattle, Chung, Dohnanyi, Thielemann, Slatkin and Harding. He appears in recital in London, New York, Chicago, Paris, Rome and Madrid.
