Ji-Min Park

Korean tenor Ji-Min Park is a member of the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme ( Covent Garden, Royal Opera House) where he is currently completing his first season of studies.

Ji-Min studied at the Seoul National University with Philip Kang and the Vienna Conservatory with Carolyn Hague and Helga Wagner. Awards include the Vienna Staatsoper Special Prize at the International Belvedere Singing Competition in Austria, First Prize and Audience Prize at the International Art Song Competition in France, finalist in the International Francisco Viñas Competition in Spain, first prize in the International Bidu Sayão Competition in Brazil, second prize in the international Alexander Girardi Competition in Germany, second prize in the 57th G B Viotti International Music Competition in Italy and first prize in the Klaudia Taev National Music Competition in Estonia.

Opera includes Don José (Carmen) and Ferrando (Così fan tutte) and Ernesto (Don Pasquale)for Opéra de Baugé, Duca (Rigoletto) in Budapest and Rodolfo (La bohème) in Seoul as well as a televised opera gala concert in Korea.

This season he has sung Gastone de Letorieres and Alfredo Germon(La Traviata) and Scaramuccio(Ariadne auf Naxos)

Recent other performances have included La Scala in Milan and La Fenice in VENEZIA (Gala Concert) and Opéra de Baugé in France (Entfurung aus dem Seril)
