Jane Glover

One of Britain's most respected conductors, Jane Glover was Music Director of Glyndebourne Touring Opera, Artistic Director of the London Mozart Players and held Principal Conductorships of both the Huddersfield and the London Choral Societies. She has conducted for English National Opera, the Royal Opera, Royal Danish Opera, Glimmerglass Opera, New York City Opera, Opera Australia and the opera houses of Bordeaux, Lausanne and Venice. Her engagements include 'Acis and Galatea' and 'Agrippina' in New York, 'A Midsummer Night’s Dream' (Wolf Trap), 'Hippolyte et Aricie' (Opera Theater St Louis), 'Figaro' (ENO) and 'Cosi fan tutte' (Chicago Opera Theatre and Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin). In 2001 Jane Glover was awarded the New York City Opera General Director’s Council Award for Outstanding Achievement. In September 2002 she took up the position of Music Director of Chicago's Music of the Baroque. She was created a CBE in the 2003 New Year's Honours.
