Irish Chamber Orchestra

Based in Limerick in the west of Ireland, the Irish Chamber Orchestra is regarded as Ireland's top ensemble. Under the baton of their Music Director Nicholas McGegan, the ICO tours regularly around Ireland and abroad, and hosts the annual Killaloe Music Festival in July each year. The ICO works with renowned artists such as Mariana Sirbu, Maria Joao Pires , Ann Murray, Ernst Kovacic and Bruno Giuranna. The orchestra also continues to commission works by contemporary Irish composers, such as Gerard Barry, Elaine Agnew, Bill Whelan and Ian Wilson.
