Ilya Bannik

Regarded as one of the most promising natural basses of his generation, ILYA BANNIK is a member of the Mariinsky Theatre and a regular guest artist throughout the world. A finalist of Placido Domingo's Operalia competition, Ilya has appeared as a guest artist at the Chatelet Theatre, Paris, the Teatro Carlo Felice Genoa and at the BBC Proms summer Festival.

He successfully made his debut for the Paris Opera (Salomé and Idomeneo) last season as well as for the Valencia Opera House and the Teatro di Firenze (both Rheingold), Radio France (Katerina Ismailova – conducted by Tugan Sokhiev) and the Orchestre National du Capitol de Toulouse (Iolanta)

Ilya will make his debut for the Glyndebourne Festival (Macbeth) at the beginning of next season and has future engagements amongst others with the Valencia Opera House (Betrothal in a Monastery and Rheingold) and the Opera National de Lille (Rigoletto) .

Ilya Bannik continues to give recitals around the world with Larissa Gergieva.
