Gianluca Cascioli

The career of Italian pianist Gianluca Cascioli was launched with his victory at the 1994 Umberto Micheli International Piano Competition.

The Italian pianist Gianluca Cascioli has performed with such prestigious ensembles as the Berlin Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony, the Baltimore Symphony, the English Chamber Orchestra, the London Philharmonic, the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Prague Chamber Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic, the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI, and the La Scala Philharmonic. Highlights of Mr Cascioli’s 2006/07 engagements include an orchestral tours of Germany, Austria, Spain and the former Yugoslavia with the Mozarteum Orchestra and the Camerata Salzburg, concerts with the leading Italian orchestras and recitals in Italy, Spain and Germany. He is also collaborating with the “Fondazione per il Libro, la Musica e La Cultura” for a “Gran Re-Tour” of the major Italian cities following the appointment of his hometown, Torino, as "Capitale Mondiale del Libro con Roma". The recitals will take him to, among others, Catania, Genova, Urbino, Venice, Rome and feature highly original programs.
