Cora Burggraaf

Dutch mezzo-soprano Cora Burggraaf has already establsihed an enviable reputation in both opera and concert. Her concert repertoire ranges from Handel and Mozart to Strauss, Britten and Tippett, with appearances including the Rotterdam Philharmonic and Netherlands Radio Chamber Orchestras and the London Mozart Players and concerts including the Tanglewood Festival, London’s Wigmore Hall, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris. In opera she has sung with Garsington Opera, San Francisco Opera, the Royal Opera, Covent Garden and the Netherlands Opera. Her opera engagements include Hansel for Welsh National Opera and Stephano (Romeo et Juliette) for the Salzburg Festival. Future engagements include a return to the Salzburg festival for both Romeo et Juliette and Lulu, a return to the Netherlands Opera for Stephano, Zerlina and Idamantes and the new Peter Eötvös opera for the Bavarian State Opera. She is an ECHO Rising Star artist for 2009/2010 and will appear in recital throughout Europe.
