Christine Brewer

Recognised as amongst the foremost singers of our age, Christine Brewer’s recent engagements have included the BBC Proms (“Die Walküre”, “Götterdämmerung” and "Gurrelieder" under Donald Runnicles and Mahler 8 under Simon Rattle), Strauss’ “Ariadne auf Naxos” in Lyon, Paris. and at the Metropolitan Opera and her first Isolde with the BBC Symphony and Runnicles. Her recent engagements include Fidelio and Isolde for the San Francisco Opera, Gloriana for Opera Theatre of St Louis and Ellen Orford in Santa Fe. Her concerts include appearances with the London Philharmonic under Masur, the Orchestra of Santa Cecilia, Rome and Pappano, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Zubin Mehta, and the City of Birmingham Symphony and Sir Simon Rattle. She will sing Strauss' Die Frau ohne Schatten in Paris and Chicago.
