Berliner Philharmoniker

Askonas Holt has looked after the UK concerts of the Berliner Philharmoniker (Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra) for many years, stretching back as far as concerts in the Royal Albert Hall in February 1935, conducted by Wilhelm Furtwängler. We are also proud to have managed all of the orchestra's tours to Japan under Claudio Abbado, which culminated in epic staged performances of Tristan and Isolde at the Tokyo Bunka kaikan in November 2000.

It was a special pleasure for Askonas Holt to present the orchestra's first UK performances with Sir Simon Rattle at the Royal Festival Hall in October 2002. In 2004, our collaborations included concerts at the Auditorio Parco della Musica in Rome and the Osterfestspiele Salzburg production of Fidelio in Japan, and in 2005, we were privileged to have managed their historic Far East tour , which included the orchestra's débuts in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Taipei.
