Arild Remmereit

Norwegian born, Arild Remmereit has resided in Vienna since 1987. In 1986 he graduated from the Norwegian Conservatory of Music in Oslo where he studied piano, song and composition. He attended the Aspen conducting seminar in Colorado and graduated from Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Vienna under the direction of Professor Karl Österreicher . Maestro also studied with Leonard Bernstein at Santa Cecilia in Rome and assisted him at recordings in Vienna. His other assistant roles include working with Myung-Whun Chung at the Norwegian Opera in Oslo and L'Opéra National de France in Paris.

Amongst others, Maestro Remmereit has conducted Baltimore Symphony, Bergen Philharmonic, Bern Philharmonic, Copenhagen Philharmonic, Copenhagen Royal Theatre, Filarmonica della Scala Milan, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Gelders Orchestra Arnhem, Graz Symphony, Gulbenkian Orchestra Lisbon, KBS Symphony Seoul, Limburgh Symphony Maastricht, Madison Symphony, Mozartheum Salzburg, Montpellier Philharmonic, Munich Philharmonic, NDR Radio Philharmonic Hannover, Norwegian State Opera, Oslo Philharmonic, Pittsburgh Symphony, Rheinland-Pfalz Philharmonic Ludwigshafen, Seoul Philharmonic, Stockholm Philharmonic, Teatro alla Scala Milan, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and Vienna Symphony.
