Alexander Tsymbalyuk

Born in 1976, the Ukrainian bass gained a master’s degree in vocal performance at the Odessa Conservatory in 2003. His teachers were amongst others: Paata Burchuladze, Prof. Kurt Moll, KS Thomas Moser and Veriano Luchetti.

During and after his education he won numerous first awards including “International S. Trnavsky Competition” in Slovakia (2000), “The 5th Elena Obraztsova International Competition of Young Opera Singers” Moscow (2006), “The XIII International Competition of Young Opera Singers Riccardo Zandonai” Riva del Garda (2007) and “The XIII International Tchaikovsky Competition” Moscow (2007).

Alexander made his operatic debut at the Odessa Opera Theatre with Eugen Onegin.

His repertoire includes: La Boheme, Turandot, Il Barbiere di Seviglia, Don Giovanni, Die Zauberflöte, Le nozze di Figaro, Lucia di Lammermoor, La Fille du Régiment, Maria Stuarda, Beatrice di Tenda, Tosca, Madame Butterfly, Il Trovatore, Rigoletto, La Traviata, Un Ballo in Maschera, Don Carlos, Simon Boccanegra, Otello, Carmen, Eugen Onegin, Pique Dame, The Love for Three Oranges, Parsifal, Das Rheingold, Lohengrin, Tannhäuser, Salome, Les Contes d'Hoffmann, Pelléas et Mélisande, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Billy Budd.

Future engagements will include a concert tour of Japan, Korea and China with Toyota Motors and Turandot in Valencia.
