New Conductor signingAskonas Holt is delighted to announce the representation of the young British conductor, Jonathan Cohen for general management.
Jonathan was former guest principal cellist with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Philharmonia, Scottish Chamber, London Chamber and King's Consort. In recent years, he has moved towards conducting, specialising in the Baroque and Classical styles.
Since 2006, he has been assisting William Christie, Emmanuelle Haim and Harry Bicket in various productions at the Chatelet, Glyndebourne, Opera North. Forthcoming assisting dates include Poppea/Glyndebourne (Haim), Figaro/Lille (Haim), Dido & Aeneas/Paris TCE, Amsterdam, Vienna (Christie), Ulysses/Teatro Real Madrid (Christie).
Jonathan recently had a big success at the Opéra Comique conducting Les Arts Florissants in Hérold's Zampa and other forthcoming conducting dates include Le Concert D'Astrée/The Netherlands (Fairy Queen) and Les Arts Florissants/Barbican, Salle Pleyel for a programme of Mozart, Gluck, Haydn arias and symphonies.
